EXPERIENCE:

Work experience the past 55 years has included programming, design and project management of many varied types of projects, including educational, healthcare, banks, commercial, civic, industrial, religious, multi-family housing, broadcasting and building restoration. Experience on these projects has included all phases of architectural practice, which include promotional presentations, feasibility studies, needs assessments, programming, construction documents, project management, contract administration and construction administration. Distinctions recently, include 10 National School Design Awards, 2 Energy Star School Awards and Firm of the Year by Nebraska Chapter of the Construction Specification Institute for quality construction documents.

EILEEN KORTH, AIA/NCARB/CSI/A4LE

EXPERIENCE:

Licensed in 3 states, work experience the past 23 years has included the design and project management of many varied types of projects, including educational, healthcare, banks, commercial, industrial, religious, and building restoration. Eileen’s extensive and diverse portfolio has given her the ability to efficiently manage all aspects of the project during all phases of design and construction to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Distinctions include CSI Past Chapter President, Regional Convention Chairman and Products Show Chairperson, Sand in the City Team Designer (2 time first place winner) and AIA Nebraska, Professional Award.

CHERYL KIEL, AIA

(18 contact hours, minimum, per year of continuous education since 1996 to maintain professional license and AIA membership.)

EXPERIENCE:

Cheryl is a licensed architect and has 30+ years of experience in the field of architecture with extensive experience in religious design and has served as a Project Manager and Team Leader on numerous types of projects. Kiel is also proficient in Autodesk Revit Architecture and SketchUp. Cheryl joined the JJA team in 2015. She is currently working on a $9M new church for the St. Matthew Catholic Community, which includes programming, construction document management and production, graphic presentations and construction administration support.

APRIL KICK, AIA/CSI/A4LE

ARCHITECT

EDUCATION:

Master of Architecture, 2011, University of Nebraska, Lincoln International Studies, London, Spring 2011 
B.S. Magna Cum Laude, General Studies in Art, Secondary Fields of Math and Architecture 2008, University of Nebraska at Omaha.

EXPERIENCE:

April is licensed in Nebraska. April’s experience following graduation, has included research for the Joslyn Institute for Sustainable Communities. This included sustainable assessments of the Alegent Health headquarters, associated hospitals and zero energy homes. This research data, photographs, and graphic images were included in the publication Sustainometrics by W. Cecil Steward and Sharon B. Kushka in 2011. April is also proficient in Autodesk Revit, Google SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

EXPERIENCE:

Nolan is a licensed architect in Nebraska, and he joined our team in October 2013. His previous experience while attending school included working as a landscaper, which included integrating the landscaping with surrounding architecture. He also worked as a framer, framing custom homes and learning all aspects to successfully construct a residence. Nolan is also experienced in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Create Suite and SketchUp.

ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATE

ROLE:

Production Associate

EDUCATION:

Master of Architecture, 2003, Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany; University of Nebraska Lincoln, 2000, International Studies   

EXPERIENCE:

Anika joined the team in November 2018.  She has previous experience as an architectural CAD technician in an architecture firm.  Later she worked as a planning supervisor at a casework manufacturer.  Anika is currently working on obtaining her architectural licensure.  She is proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom, Inventor, and Router-CIM.

RYAN REVIS

PROJECT MANAGER

ROLE:

Construction Documents Coordinator

& Construction Administration

EDUCATION:

Associates of Architectural Technology, 1999
Southeast Community College

EXPERIENCE:

Ryan’s 20+ years of experience include project development of construction documents, contract administration and field investigations. His project experience includes: educational, healthcare, financial, public buildings, religious and State Building restorations. Ryan is also proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup.

TIM CLOYD

ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN

ROLE:

Production Associate

EDUCATION:

Associates of Applied Science Degree, Architectural/Engineering Technology, 2005 Southeast Community College

EXPERIENCE:

Tim serves as a CAD Technician. He has 15 years of experience in architectural and electrical design. His experience includes involvement with commercial, financial, educational and civic projects.
